African Business Stories

Telling the stories of audacious female innovators and entrepreneurs, building and running businesses in Africa.

About the podcast

Stories of business successes in Africa are not contained in many textbooks. So the curation of these stories is critical as we seek to multiply success on the continent. The success of female business leaders is of particular interest – according to the World Bank, Africa is the only region in the world where more women than men choose to become entrepreneurs.  Who are these women and why don’t we know their stories, their struggles and their successes?

If there are more female entrepreneurs in Africa than men, then it means that creating an enabling and empowering environment for these women is central to economic growth in Africa. The podcast, African Business Stories gives voice to the stories of audacious women who against all the odds stay winning.

African Business Stories is your insight into female innovators and entrepreneurs building and running businesses in Africa. It is a vehicle for Africans and indeed the rest of the world to learn and be inspired.
